I offer four retreats a year. Each retreat is held at Plas Uchaf, a Country Guest Home on the Shropshire/Powys border. The workshop retreats teach techniques to incorporate and further develop relationships with others and self while deepening your own sense of holiness in your life.
Connection and Disconnection with Self and Others:
A Workshop Retreat
April 11-13, 2008
At
Plas Uchaf Country Guest House on the Shropshire/Powys Border
I would much rather have regrets about not doing what people said, than regretting not doing what my heart led me to, and wondering what life had been like if I’d just been myself.
Brittany Renee 1986
This retreat will focus on skill training for the purpose of enhancing your relationships with self and others. Close attention is paid to the heart being part of the skill training. Journal writing helps you to follow your inner guidance. Topics addressed at this retreat include, how to listen for understanding, views of adaptation to change, techniques for making changes, making decisions from a constricted heart or an open heart, as well as identifying personal needs in relation with others.
Summer Retreat
Honouring the Body
Workshop Description
The body depends on you to take care of it. Many of us have been shamed and continue to feel shame about our body. The shame we feel leaks into aspects of our life such as self esteem, the ability to trust oneself, the permission or lack of permission we give ourselves to play and act in a spontaneous manner. Stifling yourself is like putting a shunt on your soul’s freedom to experience life fully. This retreat is designed to not only provide new insights, but also to provide a space for healing and transforming negative self and body beliefs.
Autumn Retreat
Meaning in the Second Half of Life
Workshop Description
As we approach the afternoon, dusk, and sunset of our life, we are often faced with the call to live with more candour…a calling to live in a more conscious way that involves self-examination to reflect on choices we made and choices we are going to make; some of which are life altering. In the second half of life, there is opportunity to enhance personal possibility, take risks, and stop self-sabotaging choices.
Winter Retreat
To Thine Own Self be True
Workshop Description
The dark becomes frightening and destructive only when we deny and disown it. The healing that occurs in the dark precedes renewal, and we do emerge back in the light with the wisdom that change has brought. The seasonal rhythm beckons us to hibernate and be still, gather our energies inward, withdraw, rest, and reflect. This workshop is designed for participants to review, reflect and renew what matters in their life. Sometimes what we say matters is incongruent with what we pay attention to in our life. Walls conscious and/or unconscious can become obstacles to fulfilling purpose and meaning in your life. Understanding what your wall(s) might be, why they are there, and do they still need to be there is part of this retreat’s workshops. When what you think, what you say, and what you do is one of the same; you live.
